contents Précipitation d'altitude du nord-Chili, origine des sources de vapeur et données isotopiques Isabelle Chaffaut Anne Coudrain-Ribstein Jean Luc Michelot Bernard Pouyaud Multidisciplinarias (Ciencias Sociales) Samples of rain have been collected on arid Altiplano of Northern Chile and Southern Bolivia between July 1994 and March 1997. An automatic meteorological station has been installed at the altitude of 4 300 m (Quisquiro, 23.21°S and 67.25°W). Rainy season occurs during the austral summer from December to March. Stable isotopes values (18O et 2H) of rainfall events shows a wide range of variation (210 ? for 2H and 25 ? for18O). Local Meteoric Line at Quisquiro site (2H = 8.2 18O + 16.6 ?, r2=0.98) is distinct from World Meteoric Line. Mean values of deuterium excess are quite different during austral winter (d=9.7 ?) with scarce rainfall events and during austral summer (d=15.2 ?) with major rainfall events. These datas may be linked to significant local recycling of air moisture and/or a stronger than generally admitted participation of tropical Pacific ocean moisture to the altiplanic rainfalls. 1998 artículo científico 0303-7495 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=12627303 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=126 Bulletin de l'Institut français d'études andines application/pdf Instituto Francés de Estudios Andinos Bulletin de l'Institut français d'études andines (Perú) Num.3 Vol.27
