contents Caracterización de las fases pre-El Niño 1981-1982 y 1990-1991 en el suroccidente de Colombia Reinaldo García García Multidisciplinarias (Ciencias Sociales) Rainfall in pre-El Niño events is analyzed in three sites of Southwestern Colombia with similar rainfall regimes but different topographic and humidity conditions: subhumid lowlands of the Cauca river valley, southern humid edge of the Popayán plateau, and low-dry valley of Patía. The characteristics are those of 1982-1983 and 1992-1993 El Niño events, taking into account the pre-events, i.e. October 1981-June 1982 and December 1990-July 1991. According to the results no relation was found in the pre-event between the humid types and the rainfall distribution, although the relation was high between the two referenced periods and among them and the mean annual rainfall. 1998 artículo científico 0303-7495 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=12627335 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=126 Bulletin de l'Institut français d'études andines application/pdf Instituto Francés de Estudios Andinos Bulletin de l'Institut français d'études andines (Perú) Num.3 Vol.27
