| contents | La variabilité hydrologique actuelle dans le bassin de l'Amazone Jean Loup Guyot Jacques Callède Michel Molinier Valdemar Guimaraes Eurides de Oliveira Multidisciplinarias (Ciencias Sociales) The climatic ¿El Niño¿ phenomena, and its opposite ¿La Niña¿, greatly disturb the climate of the tropical regions of the Pacific Basin (Peru, Equator, Colombia). The disturbs of the precipitation regime change, consequently, the hydrological regime of the rivers of these regions. Thus, the analysis of the long hydrological series makes up a useful tool on detecting the amplitude and the extension of the influence of the ¿Niño/Niña¿ over a given region. This analysis of the discharge hydrological series was conducted on 17 DNAEE gauging stations in the Brazilian Amazon Basin. The obtained results present good correlation between the ¿El Niño¿ South Oscillation index (ENSO) and the discharge index in the Northeastern part of the Basin (Branco and Jari Rivers). On the other parts, the regional tendencies are observed, but are not always significant. When considering the Amazon at Óbidos, the ¿Niño¿of 1983 caused a drop of 16% on the annual average discharge, while the ¿Niña¿ of 1989 is responsible for an exceeding of 14% on the annual discharge. 1998 artículo científico 0303-7495 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=12627340 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=126 Bulletin de l'Institut français d'études andines application/pdf Instituto Francés de Estudios Andinos Bulletin de l'Institut français d'études andines (Perú) Num.3 Vol.27 |
