La introducción de la gimnasia en las escuelas bolivianas Françoise Martinez Multidisciplinarias (Ciencias Sociales) In the history of education, sport and physical education have not always been synonyms for liberation and entertainment. In Bolivia, following the liberal education policy of past two decades (1899-1920), a project of national ?regeneration? of a ?suffering? native country was undertaken. At the beginning, its content was defined on an intellectual basis, but gradually, coinciding with an international sports increase, in the liberals looked for an appropriate model to achieve an ethnic and physical ?regeneration?.
