Cambios y continuidades en el pacto colonial en la Amazonía: el caso de los indios chasutas del Huallaga medio a finales del siglo XIX Frederica Barclay Multidisciplinarias (Ciencias Sociales) This article explains the occurrence of an uprising in Chasuta in 1893 as the result of what local Indians perceived as the infringement of the colonial pact that guarantied their rights and stipulated their duties vis à vis the local administration.
