| contents | Ética y quehacer científico. de la estrategia identitaria a la estrategia polÍtica Teresa Yurén Camarena Isabel Izquierdo Economía y Finanzas Ethos Ethics Habitus Erasing Identity This articles presents an analysis and an interpretation of the discourse that is built about therelationship between ethics and the scientists occupations; the author states the meanings ofprofessional ethics with regard to professional identity and the formation of scientists, itsdissemination strategies within the institution and its effects of power.The central point of the ethical discourse is honesty, but it is covered and influenced by theepistemological discourse. The competitiveness and the erasing of the subject are identitystrategies in the constitution of the scientific character; sheltered by the jobs prestige,they are part of a political strategy.
