  • Fair Trade and Organizational Hibridism: reflecting on the organizational design of cooperatives certified by Fairtrade Layon Carlos Cezar Alexandre Reis Rosa Administración y Contabilidad Fair trade cooperatives hybrid organizations This study aims to understand how Fairtrade certification mechanisms influence the organizational design of cooperatives as hybrid organizations. Based on organizational hybridism as a theoretical basis, the study is guided by the contributions of interpretive management scholars who consider cooperatives as hybrid social organizations. This investigation is qualitative; exploratory research carried out from a case study in Fairtrade coffee growers cooperative in Espírito Santo. As a data collection instrument, the triangulation of techniques was used through semi-structured interviews, non-participant observation and documents analyzed through content analysis.
