  • Another challenge: governance for the development of the Amazon João Mendes Rocha Neto Administración y Contabilidad Amazonia Governance regional development The issue of regional inequatdties is historical and has structural roots in Brazil. Since the 20th century, regional development potdcies have changed their visibitdty on the government's agenda. In the case of the Amazon specifically, the action of the Brazitdan State was developed experimentally, resulting in a problematic development process that, despite the existing potential, configured a socioeconomic framework, marked by the exclusion of large population groups and incipient economy. The reflection started from the bibtdographic review and focused on the reading of the Regional Development Plan, complemented with the collection of data and information, which allowed interpretations about the challenges in the governance of the plan.
