- Relationship between public consortia and municipal development: an analysis based on the size and diversity of intermunicipal networks in Minas Gerais Lucas Leão Suzana Bastos Hilton Manoel Dias Ribeiro Administración y Contabilidad Networks development municipalities The study aimed to analyze the relationship between the size and diversity of the networks of cities by consortia with the levels of the socioeconomic development indicator in the municipalities of Minas Gerais. The inter-municipal network structure was represented by the participation of cities in public consortia, an instrument that connect different local managers for the cooperative provision of social services and policies. Regional inequality and the relative national importance of Minas Gerais’ municipalities (especially small and medium) in the formation of cooperative networks, in addition to an observed convergence of income in recent decades, justify the choice of the state for the study.
