- La expansión del psicoanálisis en la universidad argentina desde mediados del siglo XX: un estudio historiográfico María Eugenia González Psicología logy psycho history Argentina university The extensive diffusion of psychoanalysis in Argentina is seen in the large number of psychoanalysts working in their private ofÀces and public institutions, the pro - liferation of psychoanalytic societies and private part- nerships and other aspects that refer to the culture and daily life of the Argentines. A characteristic feature of this phenomenon constitutes also the expansion of psychoanalysis in psychology careers in Argentina. Un- der this, this article of literature review is to analyze the diffusion of Freudian ideas in Argentine universities, more speciÀcally since the beginning of operation of racing psychology of that country in the mid-twentieth century. Is adopted a historiographical approach uses a qualitative methodological strategy. academic literature on training of psychologists in Argentina and the his- tory of psychology and psychoanalysis in that coun- try is discussed. Establishing the dialogue between the texts it discussed how, not only psychoanalysis was a major inÁuence in the university training of Argentine psychologist but also the university contributed to the rooting of psychoanalytic tradition in Argentina, gene- rating an effect of mutual reinforcement between the two disciplines. It seeks to develop a state of affairs on the phenomenon of expansion of psychoanalysis in Argentina university life.
