Psicología assessment neuropsychology social behavior Executive functioning intellectual disability This study displays the results of a neuropsychological assessment of the executive functioning, administered in adults with moderate intellectual disability aged between 20 and 39 years old in the city of Bogotá. A basic protocol of neuropsychological tests was used in order to measure aspects such as executive attention (Stroop Test), impulsivity (FAS), planning / organization (King's Figure), follow-up instructions (Token Test), inhibition (WCST), processing speed and cognitive flexibility (TMT A and B). The most significant findings reveal an executive functioning below what was expected, in general, for the entire sample, but with scores for tests such as Token Test of Pc=<1-2 in both men and women; and better planning in men with 43% for the King's Figure copy, without this showing a range of normality. This allows us to conclude that concerning to what is exposed in the literature on the functioning of the frontal lobe and the left dorsolateral cortex for various components of the executive functioning, the participants' performance resembles to the symptomatology proposed by the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSMV) for moderate intellectual disability in regards to basic and instrumental activities of daily life and its adaptive behavior. 2017 artículo científico 1909-8391 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=139057282004 https://www.redalyc.org/journal/1390/139057282004/ https://www.redalyc.org/journal/1390/139057282004/html/ https://www.redalyc.org/journal/1390/139057282004/139057282004.epub https://www.redalyc.org/journal/1390/139057282004/movil es http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=1390 Tesis Psicológica application/pdf Fundación Universitaria Los Libertadores Tesis Psicológica (Colombia) Num.1 Vol.12
