It puts focus on one meaning, scarcely mentioned in recent studies, that emerged asimportant to most of our interviewees: school as a space for juvenile life?. Analysis centers onschool as a place of encounters with pairs, of communication and dialogue in their own codes, offormation in the personal, ethic and civic dimension and of access to certain cultural options. Herewe find differences in students that attend a high school linked to university (Colegio de Ciencias yHumanidades) from those that attend a technical school (Centro de Bachillerato TecnológicoIndustrial y de Servicios).
