Hence, athletics, military exercises, manualwork, personal hygiene and educational outings were part of thecurriculum. Educational outings was one of the pedagogic innovationswhich was received with great enthusiasm as it was seen asbeing an extra-curricular activity free from the discipline of theclassroom. The aim of the present article is to discuss the trainingof students outside the classroom through an examination of schooltrips and outings.
