The initialanalysis obtained an unsatisfactory model that confirmed onlytwenty of the thirty-six series of tasks first evaluated; in addition, the covariance between these four components was very high andsignificant. Since the data indicated that the childrenís productionwas not based on these four components or factors, an exploratoryfactorial analysis was completed to observe the grouping of variablesby factorial affinity. The four new resulting factors of theexploratory factorial analysis showed good internal consistency andwere later submitted to a confirming factorial analysis through aprogram of structural equations. A robust model with twenty-sevenseries of tasks was obtained, with divergent validity of the languagecomponents construct. 2002 artículo científico 1405-6666 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=14001608 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=140 Revista Mexicana de Investigación Educativa application/pdf Consejo Mexicano de Investigación Educativa, A.C.
