Notas históricas de las organizaciones políticas, 1910-1971 Antonio Gómez Nashiki Educación university higher education student movements Student organizations This article analyzes the creation and development of studentorganizations in Mexican universities from the early twentiethcentury up to 1971. The initial topic of discussion is the rivalryamong organizations due to their positions on issues such asautonomy or the implementation of socialistic education. Then thetwo main resulting movements are analyzed: the liberal and thepopular movements. Lastly, an explanation is given of the conditionsunder which the organizations attempted to unify their efforts, in1966, with the signing of the Declaration of Morelia, and in 1968.However, brutal government repression would newly polarize themand result in two opposing movements: the democratic and therevolutionary. 2003 artículo científico 1405-6666 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=14001712 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=140 Revista Mexicana de Investigación Educativa application/pdf Consejo Mexicano de Investigación Educativa, A.C.
