- ESTRUCTURA ECONÓMICA COMPETITIVA DEL SECTOR AGROPECUARIO DE ZACATECAS: UN ANÁLISIS POR AGROCADENAS Blanca I. Sánchez Toledano Jorge A. Zegbe Domínguez Agustín F. Rumayor Rodríguez Georgel Moctezuma López Estudios Agrarios positioning competitiveness Productive chains socioeconomic importance The concept of food chain refers to the various activities developed within a company that adds value to the final product. The final product price exceeds the value of different activities. It was considered pertinent to perform an analysis in the main production chains of the state of Zacatecas, thinking in the dynamism and other factors that may modify the importance of these chains. In the methodological aspect, a variable ranking was done based on weighted criteria of the different agricultural and livestock production chains to identify which ones are strategic to the State. This study considered only two dimensions: the socioeconomic importance and the competitiveness. The positioning of the agricultural chains showed that forages are the most important agricultural chain followed by beans, corn, beans, fresh tomatoes, cactus, chili and alfalfa, among others. Beef cattle, dairy cattle, and goats were the most important livestock production chains. Some strategies for improving value chains are discussed as well as public policies for modifying the behavior of both agricultural and livestock production chains. 2013 artículo científico 1405-9282 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=14127709015 es http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=141 Revista Mexicana de Agronegocios application/pdf Sociedad Mexicana de Administración Agropecuaria A.C.
