contents La renovación carismática católica en la Argentina: ¿Religiosidad popular, comunidad emocional o nuevo movimiento religioso? Abelardo Jorge Soneira Antropología In the last times, the Charismatic- Catholic- Renovation (CCR) has become an interestingsubject for research, because of its features and its origin. From a theoretical point of view, the CCRprocess can be analyzed according to different frameworks. Even though the CCR is a Catholic expressionthat has gained poor people among devotes, it is not a typical case of popular Catholicism -thetraditional beliefs and praxis of peasant population-, which does not a real link with the official Catholicism.Because of its origins, and specially, its rituals the CCR is similar to the Pentecostalism andCharismatic Churches. Nevertheless, taking into account the acceptation of the CCR by the institutionalCatholicism, emerges a question about the possibility of considering the CCR a new religious movement. In this paper, the author focuses on these perspectives and gives suggestions for developing analternative approach. 2000 artículo científico 0325-6669 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=14802207 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=148 Scripta Ethnologica application/pdf Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas (CONICET) Scripta Ethnologica (Argentina) Vol.XXII
