- Making meaning out of native's and ethnlogist's spirituality Alejandra Siffredi Antropología religion and mythology indians of South America Gran Chaco and Patagonia My aim is to explore the dialogue between Ethnology and Spirituality from a hermeneuticperspective including both the Native?s viewpoint and my own scientific and religious background. Thekey epistemological issue I will address is on the limits of intelligibility as a step towards the ?comprehension?of certain indigenous forms of the sacred. I will also consider two related methodologicalissues referring to: 1. The quest for the natives´ spirituality beyond its overt forms, and 2. The search forsacredness in the Indigenous´ ideas of revealed truth.
