Nevertheless, the pain and death symbols reappear all the more strongly. When conceiving hermeneutics of tragedy Ricoeur helps us to think our violent days. In the face of Freuds archaeological hermeneutics, Oedipus myth is understood in terms of vital pulsating, that Foucault redefines as a problem relating to the question of power. From Ricoeurs point of view it is essential to focus the search on the problem of truth giving us the truth that reveals symbols beyond blindness and vision.
