| contents | PEDIDORES DE LLUVIA DEL ALTIPLANO CENTRAL MEXICANO Julio Glockner Antropología Magic-religious ceremonies with the purpose of propitiating rain and controlling the weather for the benefit of the crops are being practiced in some Mexicos Central Tablelands volcanoes. Specialists in the meteorological control perform these ceremonies; they are de shamans that have received a sign from heaven. The ritual performance is supported by the specialist dreams. Dreams base ritual activities during the entire lives of the specialists.
