  • Mexican Immigrants and Temporary Residents in Canada: Current Knowledge and Future Research Richard E. Mueller Demografía nafta Canada Mexico Mennonites international migration The migration of Mexicans to Canada is a new phenomenon, but it represents one of the most significant increases in the movement of people from Latin America. Since the mid-1990s, the number of Mexicans in Canada has been growing rapidly because of the return of the descendants of Canadian Mennonites who emigrated to Mexico and the provisions of the North American Free Trade Agreement (nafta), which eases the entrance requirements for Mexican nationals. This article looks at the number of Mexicans in Canada, the timeframe of entry, and the number of temporary migrants admitted, and it suggests areas for future research. 2005 artículo científico 1665-8906 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=15103102 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=151 Migraciones Internacionales application/pdf El Colegio de la Frontera Norte Migraciones Internacionales (México) Num.1 Vol.3
