| contents | La transmisión intergeneracional de los oficios de cañero y de productor de granos básicos en el mundo rural costarricense (1880-1960) Rafael Cordero Javier Agüero Sociología This article analyses, from a comparative standpoint, the conditions which facilitated the transmission of agrarian employment from generation to generation. It deals specifically with those who produced sugar cane and grains in areas ofagricultural colonisation in Grecia, Puriscal and the Valley of the Saints (now the cantons of Tarrazú, Dota and León Cortés).
