However, this ideology was differently conceived from one country to another. In this article the author examines the case of the military régime in Brazil (1964-1984), which conceived de National Security doctrine in two different ways: one meaning the elimination of the leftist opposition, the other meaning a huge economic development based in the imports substitution industrialization model and the building of infrastructure.
