Ioris Estudios Culturales civil colonization oral history Lucas do Rio Verde Agricultural frontier The expansion of agricultural frontiers in the Brazilian Amazon occurred in many places, together with the transformation of its agricultural profile. In the case of the state of Mato Grosso, and specifically the municipality of Lucas do Rio Verde, a series of plans and programs during the civil-military government stimulated migration to that region.
