contents Relational learning transference in a navigation task Joan Sansa José Prados Psicología Relational learning transference in a navigation task. Threegroups of rats were trained to find a hidden platform located in a fixedposition relative to four landmarks surrounding a swimming pool. Thegroup No Change received active preexposure (Prados, Redhead & Pearce,1999) to the same landmarks (ABCD) that define the location of theplatform during the training. The group Change, received active preexposureto a set of four landmarks (LMNO) different to the one used to define theplatform location during training (ABCD). Finally, the Control group waspreexposed to the apparatus and then trained to find the platform by referenceto ABCD. The preexposed groups showed a facilitated learning whensearching for the invisible platform. The performance of the group Changecould be said to demonstrate that learning to attend to the spatial relationbetween the landmarks that were present during preexposure was transferredto the new landmarks presented during the training phase. These resultssuggest that attentional processes play an important role in preexposureeffects in the spatial domain. 2002 artículo científico 0211-2159 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=16923203 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=169 Psicológica application/pdf Universitat de València Psicológica (España) Num.2 Vol.23
