contents Effect of stimulus intensity on latent inhibition: A case for generalization decrement Gabriel Rodríguez Gumersinda Alonso Psicología Effect of stimulus intensity on latent inhibition: a case ofgeneralization decrement. Two experiments assessed the effect of stimulusintensity on latent inhibition, using the paradigm of taste aversion learningin rats. Experiment 1 tested the effect of exposure to a sweet taste withdifferent concentrations on the acquisition rate of subsequent conditioning.Latent inhibition was stronger after exposure to the taste with the sameconcentration to that used during conditioning (group EI) than after itsexposure with higher (group EM) or lower (group Em) concentration.Furthermore, attenuation of latent inhibition was less in group EM than ingroup Em. Experiment 2 showed that generalization of conditioned aversionproperties to the taste was bigger between taste concentrations used in groupEM than those used in group Em. These results suggest that the apparenteffect of stimulus intensity on latent inhibition may be explained in termsof generalization decrement. 2002 artículo científico 0211-2159 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=16923208 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=169 Psicológica application/pdf Universitat de València Psicológica (España) Num.2 Vol.23
