contents Beyond imagination: Perspective change problems revisited Ranxiao Frances Wang Psicología Traditional models of perspective change problems (i.e., judgment ofegocentric target directions from an imagined perspective) assume thatperformance reflects one´s ability to imagine the new perspective. Threeexperiments investigated whether advanced cuing of the imaginationdirection improves performance in an imagined self-rotation task. RTperformance did not improve when extended time was given to complete theimagination process, or after participants reported the completion of theimagination. Moreover, when pointing to multiple targets after a singleimagination, later responses did not show improvement. These results castdoubt on the traditional imagination hypothesis and suggest re-interpretationof the angular disparity effects in perspective changes tasks. 2005 artículo científico 0211-2159 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=16926103 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=169 Psicológica application/pdf Universitat de València Psicológica (España) Num.1 Vol.26
