contents Effects of context change upon retrieval of first and second-learned information in human predictive learning Juan M. Rosas Ana García-Gutiérrez José E. Callejas-Aguilera Psicología Two experiments were conducted to evaluate the context switch effect uponretrieval of the information about a cue-outcome relationship in humanpredictive learning. The results replicated the well-known effect of renewalof the cue-outcome relationship due to a context change after a retroactiveinterference treatment, as much as the null effect of the context change uponacquisition before retroactive interference training had taken place(Experiment 2). However, retrieval of an unambiguous cue-outcomerelationship was also impaired by a context switch when this relationship wasestablished in a context where a different cue had received an interferencetreatment (Experiments 1 and 2). Once the interference treatment was givento participants in one context, unambiguous cue-outcome relationshipslearned in a different context also became context specific (Experiment 2).The implications of these results for retrieval theory are discussed. 2006 artículo científico 0211-2159 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=16927102 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=169 Psicológica application/pdf Universitat de València Psicológica (España) Num.1 Vol.27
