- Technique for measuring speed and visual motion sensitivity in lizards Kevin L. Woo Darren Burke Psicología Testing sensory characteristics on herpetological species has been difficultdue to a range of properties related to physiology, responsiveness, performance ability, and the type of reinforcer used. Using the Jacky lizardas a model, we outline a successfully established procedure in which to testthe visual sensitivity to motion characteristics. We incorporatedmodifications to traditional operant paradigms by using three videoplayback systems to deliver random-dot kinematogram motion stimulicoupled with salient computer-animated secondary reinforcersrepresentative of biologically important appetitive stimuli. This procedurehas the capacity to test other visual aspects in lizards as well as other nonhumanspecies using video playback and computer-animation techniques asexperimental tools. 2008 artículo científico 0211-2159 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=16929202 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=169 Psicológica application/pdf Universitat de València Psicológica (España) Num.2 Vol.29
