  • LOS MODOS DE ANÁLISIS EN INVESTIGACIÓN CUALITATIVA EN SALUD: PERSPECTIVA CRÍTICA Y REFLEXIONES EN VOZ ALTA Manuel Amezcua Alberto Gálvez Toro Salud Health Sciences Social Sciencies Qualitative analysis Key words: Qualitative Research Different Approaches to QualitativeHealth Research Analysis: A Criticaland Reflective ViewThere is a consistent theoretical and methodological foundationson qualitative health research provided mainly by socialsciences. However, this existent overlap between socialand health aspects is a wide multidisciplinary field still underexplored. This article offers an overview of the main paradigms, methodologies and theoretical tendencies of qualitativeresearch analyses within the health sciences context. Based onan initial classification, two opposite extremes for setting thebounds of the qualitative analysis continuum - from designs focusingon data description, which are purely exploratory, tothose which go into theorizing processes so as to draw out interpretationsand inferences - are discussed.Qualitative research is an important tool in the analysis ofhealth problems from a social and cultural point of view. Adoptingdifferent procedures such as content and speech analysis, qualitative research approaches communication patterns andexamines the diverse language ideologies. Sociological andanthropological traditions provide unique methodologieswhich allow to know the context where the phenomena appearand set out theoretical proposals in order to explain them, forexample ethnomethodology or analytical induction. Lastly, some keys are suggested for developing a common area, out ofwhich new epistemological perspectives may be set out basedon different disciplines coming together. 2002 artículo científico 1135-5727 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=17076505 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=170 Revista Española de Salud Pública application/pdf Ministerio de Sanidad Revista Española de Salud Pública (España) Num.5 Vol.76
