- A Q-model of labour demand Cristina Barceló Economía y Finanzas Q model panel data labour demand adjustment costs This paper studies the demand for labour using a Q model in which labourand capital entail adjustment costs. The estimates are based on an unbalancedpanel of Spanish firms over the period 1989-96. The corresponding Q variablefor labour is significant in explaining hiring rates. Its estimated coecientvaries across sectors in a way that suggests that the use of temporary labouris more widespread in economic sectors that incur smaller costs of adjustinglabour due to the specific characteristics of their technology and economicactivity. Interaction eects between investment and labour demands are alsoobserved in their adjustment costs. 2007 artículo científico 0210-1521 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=17331102 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=173 Investigaciones Económicas application/pdf Fundación SEPI Investigaciones Económicas (España) Num.1 Vol.XXXI
