- La supervisión de las cooperativas en América Latina Dante Cracogna Economía y Finanzas Co operatives operative law Latin America Self government The author starts with a general review of co-operative supervision, understanding as such theState activity ensuring that co-operatives comply with the laws and rules regulating them. The following chapteranalyses the supervisory function as established in current co-operative law in the different Latin American countries.For this purpose the activities of the public agencies or departments concerned are grouped according tothe different stages in the life of co-operatives, from constitution to winding up. Following this we survey co-operativesupervision in Germany and Italy with the intention of providing guidelines from countries which have developedinteresting experiences in self government.
