- Doctoral Schools in Spain: Suggestions of Professors for their Implementation Ángel Castro Alejandro Guillén-Riquelme Raúl Quevedo-Blasco M.ª Paz Bermúdez Gualberto Buela-Casal Psicología EHEA professors Doctoral schools Spanish university The main objective of this study was to provide a number of suggestions and proposals for the implementation of Doctoral Schools in Spain drawn from the views of a representative sample of faculty members from all areas of knowledge in Spanish universities. We developed a questionnaireto find out which aspects of Doctoral Schools professors consider most important. The items most valued by the 790 respondents referred to accredited research experience of participants and the School coordinator, the need to provide advice to students on scholarships and grants, coordination and mobility between domestic and foreign schools and transparency in the management of Doctoral Schools.
