It is a qualitative study with two stages of data collection: a questionnaire wi th open and closedended questions and a semi- structured interview. Data analysis was perf ormed by content analys is in thematic mode, identifying the both contextual and registration units to build analytical categories. The results reveal the importance of the professors’ pedago gical training to unde rstand their role as learning mediators.
