- BUERO VALLEJO: TEORIA DEL TEATRO HISTORICO Graciela Balestrino de Adamo Estudios Culturales We intend to present an advance report of the Research Project N. 593 of Consejo de Investigación de la Universidad Nacional de Salta, Theoretical metatext in the Spanish contemporary playwriting. (Antonio Buero Vallejo, Alfonso Sastre, José Sanchis Sinisterra). To this end we will carry out a reading of the theoretical metatext inferred from Buero?s dramatic writing recognized as historical theater, focusing on two kinds of questions: 1) the configuration of Buero?s discoursive model, considering establish the changes brought about when the historical episode is modified (Un soñador para un pueblo in fantasy (Las Meninas, El sueño de la razón, La detonación?). 2) Relations between this model and the canons present in the Spanish discoursive corpus (tragedy, farce, allegory, esperpento). The analysis of the two intrametatextual axes and their comparison with the playwright?s explicit metatexts permit us to design Buero Vallejo?s theory on the historical theater.
