Lucia Santaella Estudios Culturales That Peirce´s Semiotics is also a theory of communication is the central thesis of this article. This proposition is founded in the idea that the triadic relation of semiotics -sign, object and interpreter- are general concepts that were taken from the communicative chain of elements made up by, sender, message and receiver.
