contents CONTEXT MANAGEMENT: TOWARD ASSESSING QUALITY OF CONTEXT PARAMETERS IN A UBIQUITOUS AMBIENT ASSISTED LIVING ENVIRONMENT Debora Cabral Nazario Mario Antonio Ribeiro Dantas Jose Leomar Todesco Ingeniería Health Quality of Context Ubiquitous Computing Ambient Assisted Living Technological Innovation This paper provides an approach to assess ing Quality of Context (QoC) parameters in a ubiquitous Ambient Assisted Living (AAL) environment. Initially, the study presents a literature review on QoC, generating taxonomy . Then it introduces the context management architecture used. The pro posal is verified with the Siafu simulator in an AAL scenario where the user’s health is monitored with information about blood pressure, heart rate and body temperature. Considering some parameters, the proposed QoC assessment allows verifying the extent to which the context information is up - to - date, valid, accurate, complete and significant. The implementation of this proposal might mean a big social impact and a technological innovation applied to AAL, at the disposal and support of a significant number of individuals such as elderly or sick people, and with a more precise technology. 2014 artículo científico 1807-1775 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=203232705005 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=2032 JISTEM: Journal of Information Systems and Technology Management application/pdf Universidade de São Paulo JISTEM: Journal of Information Systems and Technology Management (Brasil) Num.3 Vol.11
