- Modelo conceptual de desarrollo empresarial basado en competencias Olga Lucía Bedoya Arturo Rodrigo Varela Administración y Contabilidad entrepreneur Entrepreneurship entrepreneurial career entrepreneurial education entrepreneurial competences The entrepreneurial training is aprocess which is associated witha large number of social, cultural,psychological and economic variablesthat contribute specific knowledge tothe development of a number of competencesthat aim to maximize theprobability of prospective entrepreneursbecoming successful individualswho are able to generate wealthand social development throughouttheir lives.The main purpose of this researchwas to propose a business trainingmodel that takes into account theevolution of a typical business career.Several ideas from the general theoryof entrepreneurship were used wellas well as the experience that theCDEE (Entrepreneurship Center)has gained throughout 21 years ofwork in this field with different targetaudiences.As a result of this analysis, thisresearch proposes a business trainingapproach based on two differentkinds of competences. On one hand,there are cognitive competenceswhich are related with the knowledgeneeded to conduct business. Personalcompetences, on the other hand, includeskills, behaviors, attitudes andvalues that individuals need in orderto become successful in businessthroughout their lives.This approach also consists of thefollowing six stages: i) entrepreneur ship training; ii) training in the generationand evaluation business ideas;iii) assessing business opportunities;iv) preparing a business plan; v) businessstart-up; and vi) business growthand development.
