The first Argentinereferences to Weber s work appear in the early 1930s in an intellectual contextmarked by the revolt against Positivism and the spread of German thinkingin general and German sociological thinking in particular. Throughout thatperiod, sociology was an emerging field and sociologists faced the task ofjustifying their practice and approaches.
