| contents | Velhas teses, novos dados: uma análise metodológica Wanderley Santos Guilherme dos Sociología elections party system political parties The author revisits the themes proposed by Jairo Nicolau in a previous article(Dados, vol. 47, no 1, 2004) concerning coalition votes in Brazil. Using electiontables from the Superior Electoral Court and tables amended by Nicolau, theauthor evaluates whether the data studied by Nicolau support the thesis thathe significantly modified the original Electoral Court data and therebyinvalidated current hypotheses on variations in party votes from1946 to 1962in relation to the degree of nationalization in the Brazilian party system andfractionation rates, both during the same period. The author concludes thatNicolaus theses are invalid, including the use he makes of the concept ofeffective number of parties. 2004 artículo científico 0011-5258 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=21847404 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=218 Dados - Revista de Ciências Sociais application/pdf Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro Dados - Revista de Ciências Sociais (Brasil) Num.4 Vol.47 |
