- Comissões e Partidos Políticos na Câmara dos Deputados: Um Estudo sobre os Padrões Partidários de Recrutamento para as Comissões Permanentes Gustavo Müller Sociología parties political loyalty Standing Committees legislative process The objective of this article is to verify the existence of party recruitmentpatterns for members of the Standing Committees in the Brazilian House ofRepresentatives during the legislature from 1995 to 1999. The hypothesis isthat the standing committees system leads parties to recruit Representativeswho can maximize their objectives in the committees. The studysmethodology involved the construction of indicators related to theRepresentatives partisan political careers.
