  • A Comparison between General Population Mortality and Life Tables for Insurance in Mexico under Gender Proportion Inequality Arelly Ornelas Montserrat Guillen Economía y Finanzas Center model Lee Mortality rates model Brass Type insured population Interested to know the differences between overall mortality and population subgroup , such as the insured in an insurance company , we set a relational model Brass -Type. To do this, first, we have modeled the behavior of mortality in the general population of Mexico between 1990 and 2009. We have set a model Lee- Center, a Renshaw - Haberman model and age-period- cohort model. The data were obtained from the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI ) and the National Population Council ( CONAPO) . Once estimated mortality rates were purchased with mortality assumed by Mexican insurance companies .. These mortality rates were calculated by the National Commission of Insurance and Finance in Mexico . As the mortality tables life insurance with unisex, ie , that do not distinguish between men and women , we have created different scenarios by changing the percentage of men and women , we have created different scenarios by changing the percentage of men and women in the tables mortality. We compare the estimated with the parameters obtained in an analysis with the Swiss population and very similar results were observed parameters.
