  • The impact of population composition for cooperation emergence in evolutionary robotics Rodrigo Palacios-Leyva Fernando Aldana-Franco Bruno Lara-Guzmán Fernando Montes-González Computación FARSA M arxbot Neural Networks Evolutionary Robotics Communication S ignals Communication is an important tool for evolutionary robot ic s. Some important aspects are the emergence of signals, the environment, and manipulation of social and evolutionary variables. In this paper we focus on social aspects related to exploration in poison ed and food environment s . These aspects are as follows : a) intermedia te levels of heterogeneity in population of evolutionary robots, and b) cooperation of robots for fitness contribution to regulate the emergence of communication signals. The FARSA simulator and Marxbot robot are used in order to opti mize the weight s of neural networks using a steady state genetic algorithm. A basic communication system is developed based on color LEDs and linear cameras. 2017 artículo científico 2007-1558 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=265254117003 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=2652 International Journal of Combinatorial Optimization Problems and Informatics application/pdf International Journal of Combinatorial Optimization Problems and Informatics International Journal of Combinatorial Optimization Problems and Informatics (México) Num.3 Vol.8
