- Habitus, política y educación Susana Beatriz di Pietro Estudios Culturales For Bourdieu, the concept of habitus is essential in the consideration about centralissues of political and educational theory. Topics as those of power, domination,legitimacy, State, social reproduction and the contribution in it of the scholar system,would request the use of that notion, able to surmount, in addition, the dichotomybetween objectivism and subjectivism that characterizes social science. The presentarticle displays the notion of habitus in the frame of the broader thinking of itsauthor, attempting to formulate some critical considerations on the described theory,its limits and explanatory possibilities.
