PURWANTA Política Kyrgyz poetry Critical poetry Kazakh literature Toktogul Satylganov This study aims to examine the role of history education in managing the diversity of Indonesian society, ethnicity, religion, customs and language. The study analyzed the newest edition of Indonesian official textbooks for the high school history lessons. The analysis was conducted using the Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA). The results showed that history textbooks in Indonesia made a minimal contribution to managing diversity. Historical textbooks are ignoring the existence of thousands of ethnic groups in Indonesia. As a result, students feel that the history of Indonesia contained in textbooks is not their past, and at the next level, they live without history. 2021 artículo científico 1316-5216 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=27966119007 https://www.redalyc.org/journal/279/27966119007/ https://www.redalyc.org/journal/279/27966119007/html/ https://www.redalyc.org/journal/279/27966119007/27966119007.epub https://www.redalyc.org/journal/279/27966119007/movil https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.4556167 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=279 Utopía y Praxis Latinoamericana application/pdf Universidad del Zulia Utopía y Praxis Latinoamericana (República Bolivariana de Venezuela) Num.1 Vol.26
