The maternal mortalityrate was 231.5/100,000 live births.Preeclampsia-eclampsia was the firstcause of maternal death. Cesareansection was the most common surgicalprocedure. One of 4 deliveries wasattended by Cesarean section.Cephalopelvic disproportion was theprimary indication in 16.2% of allCesarean sections.
