contents Application of narrative therapy to anorexia nervosa: a study case Marina Guerra Prista Sandra Torres Psicología Anorexia nervosa Narrative therapy In this article the psychological interventionundertaken with a teenage girlwith Anorexia Nervosa diagnosis is described. The intervention was based on theRe-authoring Model by White and Epsonand focused the analysis of the "fear ofbecoming fat" as being the most disturbingone identified by the teenager. Threeessential dimensions were emphasized inthe therapeutic process of the anorexica:(a) the externalizing language; (b) the discursivecontext of the problem; and (c) theidentification and amplification of momentsof active resistance to anorexianervosa. The continuous and contextualassessment suggests the importance of theconstruction and projection of alternativenarratives, that is, more flexible narrativesadapted to new contexts for the resolutionof the body related fears and, consequently, for the anorexic’s better functionallife. 2002 artículo científico 0874-4696 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=28740112 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=287 Revista Portuguesa de Psicossomática application/pdf Sociedade Portuguesa de Psicossomática Revista Portuguesa de Psicossomática (Portugal) Num.1 Vol.4
