- Univariate and multivariate statistical tools for in vitro conservationof citrus genotypes Mariane de Jesus da Silva de Carvalho Antônio da Silva Souza Emanuela Barbosa Santos Walter dos Santos Soares Filho Carlos Alberto da Silva Ledo Fernanda Vidigal Duarte Souza Agrociencias germplasm Citrus spp partial correlation principal component analysis Multivariate analysis of variance This study aimed to evaluate the influence of the growing environment on the in vitroconservation of citrus genotypes obtained from the Active Citrus Germplasm Bank of Embrapa Cassavaand Fruit. The study used multivariate statistic tools in order to improve the efficiency in the analysis of theresults. Approximately 1-cm of length microcuttings from plantlets derived from ten genotypes previouslycultured in vitro were inoculated in test tubes containing 20 mL of WPM culture medium supplementedwith 25 g L-1 sucrose, solidified with 7 g L-1 agar and adjusted to a pH of 5.8, and maintained under threeenvironmental conditions for 180 days. The experiment was carried out in a completely randomized designin a split-plot in the space, with 15 replications. The results indicate that the principal component analysisis an effective tool in studying the behavior of different genotypes conserved under different in vitrogrowing conditions. The growing conditions of 22±1°C, a light intensity of 10 μmol m-2.s-1 and a 12 hoursphotoperiod was the most adequate for reducing the growth of in vitro conserved plants, increasing thesubculture time interval while keeping the plants healthy. 2016 artículo científico 1679-9275 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=303044042015 https://www.redalyc.org/journal/3030/303044042015/ https://www.redalyc.org/journal/3030/303044042015/html/ https://www.redalyc.org/journal/3030/303044042015/303044042015.epub https://www.redalyc.org/journal/3030/303044042015/movil en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=3030 Acta Scientiarum.
