| contents | Constructivism in ESP Teaching at LUZ Leyda Alviárez Luis Romero Mildred Pérez Ana Lucía Delmastro Sociología ESP behaviorism cognitivism constructivist strategies English for Specific Purposes (ESP) arises at the University of Zulia (LUZ) to answer the students' needs intended to handle texts written in English. The goal is to determine if the teaching strategies used by ESP teachers at LUZ are based on the constructivist principles. This research is supported on Piaget, Vygotski, Bruner and Ausubel models and the theoretic-methodological literature on ESP syllabus design from behaviorism, cognitivism to the constructivism. It is descriptive, non experimental under a qualitative perspective.
