González Estudios Culturales The study of social comniunication in our societieshas given much attention to understanding MEDIA insteadof understanding COMiMUNICATION.That means to construct its relationships with cultures,ideologies, social classes and linking with thestructuring, consolidation, crisis and de/structuring ofthe social consensus.The author, introduces the "CULTURAL FRONTS"category to study and specific scale, that being thepoints of contact and confrontation between cultures ofseveral classes in a given society: spaces for the fundamentalstruggle of tlie processes of the social constructionof sense.Social communication is always something morethan just tlie collective diffusion media.The article proposes a descriptive study of "retablitos"and votive offerings of various mexican popularsanctuaries from which a possible tlieoretical andmethodological itinerary, having both varied repercussionsin the analysis of cultural diversity and the mediacultural work, is suggested.The votive offering appears then as a popular communicationinstrument which allows the reconstructionof some aspects of the ideological battle for thelegitimacy of the competence to "define" the socialworld. 1986 artículo científico 3061-7537 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=31610102 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=316 Estudios sobre las Culturas Contemporáneas application/pdf Universidad de Colima Estudios sobre las Culturas Contemporáneas (México) Num.1 Vol.I |
